1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, purchasing a membership or using Tessa’s Pantry, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract.
2. Accounts and security
Provide accurate information, protect your credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless prohibited by law.
3. What the service does
The service may organize pantry, refrigerator and freezer information; track quantities and dates; suggest meals; build grocery lists; plan meals; process barcodes or receipts; and provide optional AI assistance. Features may change during beta.
4. Device-local content
Private receipt, label and pantry images are designed to remain in browser or device storage. Clearing browser data, deleting the installed app, changing devices or losing the device may remove them. Maintain any personal backup you want.
5. Your content and limited permission
You retain ownership of content you provide and grant only the limited, non-exclusive permission reasonably needed to operate the feature you select. For optional synchronization, that means securely storing and returning approved pantry text to your account. For receipt reading, it means processing the one image you deliberately submit for that request.
This permission does not allow us to sell your personal information, use private kitchen data for advertising or repurpose your pantry for an unrelated commercial product. You are responsible for checking quantities, dates, allergies and food condition before relying on a record.
6. Food-safety and allergy disclaimer
Best-by, sell-by and use-by entries are planning cues. They do not prove that food is safe or unsafe. Storage temperature, time outside refrigeration, package integrity, recalls and contamination are not independently verified.
Check package instructions, current recall information, allergy labels, smell, appearance and storage history. When uncertain, consult an authoritative source or discard the item.
7. Suggestions and AI
Meal ideas, substitutions, match percentages, nutrition-related descriptions and AI responses may be incomplete or incorrect. Verify ingredients and instructions, especially for allergies, dietary restrictions, children, pregnancy or medical conditions.
8. Memberships
Paid features, price, billing cadence, renewal and cancellation terms are shown before purchase and governed by the Subscription Terms. Stripe handles payment credentials.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, probe security, upload unlawful content, interfere with others, automate abusive requests or attempt unauthorized access.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, exact inventory, safe food, exact nutritional information or a particular meal result. Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of $100 or membership fees paid during the preceding 12 months where such a limit is allowed.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Arizona law. Before filing a claim, contact us and allow 30 days for a good-faith attempt to resolve it. Venue will be in a court with jurisdiction in Maricopa County, Arizona, unless consumer law requires otherwise.
